For what it’s worth — probably nothing — but you never know — here’s my memory of weird stuff regarding 1996 TWA Flight 800 New York / Paris. If I’m right about some FBI agents at JFK, perhaps this will jog their memories just a bit, and maybe they can come forward. But as I say, it’s just too weird altogether. So, I apologize in advance. But, how does one apologize for one’s experiences? So, here we go:
230 people died five minutes into the flight and twelve miles out from New York’s JFK International Airport. As we now learn, 17 years later, from the original investigative team, the story that there was an internal central gas tank explosion was a purposed lie. They proved at the time that this gas-air combo was definitively not the cause of the explosion, and that the definitive reason of the explosion was at least one external ordinance device.
That link above from FoxNews has multiple videos, one of which plays the tape between other pilots and the control tower, describing the explosion of the plane, which then immediately fell from the sky. The leadership of the FBI, to this very day, sticks by the physically impossible story that there was an explosion, and the plane, without decelerating (impossible) went straight up in the air. The more you see different interviews with him, the more he is caught out with inconsistencies, contradictions and statements about the version of the leadership of the FBI being true because, well, you know, just because, like that… just because! Uh-huh. That’s accompanied with ad hominem remarks about investigators whom he says he doesn’t know anyway. Sigh. Note my distinction between the FBI and the leadership of the FBI. Image may be NSFW.

You know, when you have something so traumatic playing out before those like other pilots nearby in the air and air traffic controllers who are totally not phased by trauma, and they describe what they see as the seconds go by, well, I trust them. It’s just not psychologically or logistically possible for them to do other than describe what they are seeing in real time. Listen to the FoxNews videos before continuing. They cycle through automatically: HERE.
Contradicting those pilots and all other eye-witnesses, here’s the insanely ludicrous mockery of the 230 dead passengers depicting the story of the leadership of the FBI. It sounds as if the announcer was hired from the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus.
Here’s a much more sober report put out just a couple of years ago:
George Stephanopoulos, who would have easily gotten the whole story with his almost unlimited connections at the time in 1997, ever so nonchalantly called it, in 2001, a bombing:
Even my “friend” John Kerry, a senator at the time who liked investigating such things, easily said that it was an act of terrorism:
George Stephanopoulos and John Kerry got it right about the incident not being an accident, but I also wouldn’t trust them not to cover up where the purposed violence came from. That there was and is a cover-up is clear. But was it really foreign or even domestic terrorism?
And now, with the whistle-blowers in 2013, we know Fred Meyers and others were right all the time and that there was a cover-up of what actually happened. At the time something happens, when there’s a ferocious government cover-up, you’re scared to be a whistle-blower. But time has gone by. So, now’s the time. Those who participated in the cover-up don’t like being found out, since their cover-up may appear to be an insult to those who died. No one would ever put that on them, and there can be national security reasons for a cover-up. But to defend a cover-up so many years later?
Anyway, what I do remember of that time is the seemingly somewhat frantic stewardess of the New York / Rome flight, who had great friends on the New York / Paris flight. She was going out of her way to get me up to speed at the time about her own conjecture as to what brought down TWA Flight 800. Even though I would travel back and forth to Rome, staying in Rome or back home for years at a time, it seems I was a favorite passenger. Perhaps they remember the flight on which they asked me to talk to some terrorists midway over the ocean coming back from Rome (flight 841). It was a memorable flight, with an even more memorable landing in JFK. But that’s another story: Book burning at Holy Souls Hermitage: The Red Brigades. But I digress.
Anyway, while waiting at the gate to board the flight to Rome from JFK, one particular stewardess went out of her way to show me dozens of pictures and a dossier she had put together. What she was doing was highly illegal in an airport. You’re just not supposed to discuss or even mention terrorist activities or bombings of airplanes. Perhaps she felt at home in doing this, since the TWA crowd would, for instance, have BBQs at the USCCB Seminary, the North American College, in Rome. But this almost seems to have been her job at that gate in the time after the bombing.
Oddly, she was trying most insistently to insist that it was a missile strike not so much because of the pictures of the explosion she had collected, but because it all had to do with, get this… “Our Lady of Medjugorje”. In other words, her version of a missile strike was as dismissable as is the entire Medjugorje affair. Perhaps sincere, but misguided. But, really, it was all too cute.
Perhaps I’m just too suspicious, but this kind of manipulation of popular opinion with captive audiences at airports is part of my experience. My antennae are always at the ready. Here’s a couple of really rather outrageous anecdotes: Obamacare enforcement: “Catholics ought to imitate the submissive cooperation of the Jews” in their final solution.
At the time, according the then leadership of this investigation in the FBI, there were 1000 agents assigned to this case of TWA flight 800. It was in the desperate interest of the FBI at the time to ensure that the story of a missile strike was a fairy tale. Just to say, as soon as the stewardess started telling me her Medjugorje version of a missile strike, we were immediately joined in the conversation by a handful of FBI agents. It seems that they didn’t expect that I wasn’t going to buy in to the Medjugorje line, and nevertheless be open to considering the explosion to be a missile strike. Perhaps she was making her presentation at their bidding, trying to tailor presentations to various passengers such as myself, who are listed on a perpetual passport lookout, as the FBI agent in charge of investigating the Nairobi Embassy bombings told me about my own status just months before the TWA 800 bombing. Did I mention that the FBI crowd in Rome would come over for BBQs at Maryknoll’s Rome house (where I also stayed in Rome, and which they just so wanted to purchase, sitting above the Roman Embassy and Consulate as it does)?
Anyway, I’ve always had a good relationship with the intelligence community (see: Walking down memory lane with the help of government spooks), and I have to think that they meant well, but given the number of agents on the case of TWA 800, wasn’t it a bit inordinate to have, say, 1% of those 1000 agents at just that particular gate. Don’t they have something better to do? It really was weird at the time, truly, but not so much now in seeing the totally idiotic cover ups of recent events such as, say, Benghazi. Right? Right? The cover-ups, like the video inciting violence in Benghazi, are just lunacy. Perhaps some of the Feds beholden to various administrations think that Americans are idiots. Too bad, that.
I mean, think about it. Were they looking for other terrorists? Not like that I wouldn’t think. Again, the Stewardess was extraordinarily insistent. Was this a small little detail, just another round-about way to cover-up, say, I don’t know, a “friendly fire” type incident, which successfully averted something worse, but which would be impossible to defend given that 230 people died? Conversely, was all this just another little way to, say, I don’t know, cover up a Fort Hood type incident? Making people who supported a missile strike look like total jerks is a good way to go, leaving the only other possibility an internal gas tank explosion. Who knows?
With all the other scandals going on in Obamerika, I have to wonder if the documentary advertised by FoxNews for 17 July 2013 will lead to a congressional inquiry into yet another aspect of the regime of the Democrats at the time. Just maybe. The 230 who died and the rest of America do deserve better. Just to say:
